All throughout the history of Humanity, legends of mysterious Infernal beings have been told under the guise of other names due to culture, era, language, and religion. Some of these beings fall under the Fae category and are also intertwined with other religions. If you take a closer look at the tales you can see the strong similarities between other dark beings such as Fae and Infernal beings. You can note the Infernal-like appearances and dark behaviors in some of these entities. However, it is important to acknowledge that I am not saying all dark Fae are of Infernal origin. With that said, allow me to deepen your understanding.
There is a fine line between Daemon and Fae and sometimes this line is blurred creating what I refer to as Faemons. Faemons, though technically part of the Infernal, reside in realms on the outskirts of the Infernal: liminal territories that brush both the Infernal and the echo of our Earthen world. Long ago, darker Fae courts chose to relocate to these outer Infernal realms. They mated, formed pacts, built lives, and from those unions hybrid children were born. Over ages, the primordial infernal current saturated these ancient Fae lines. Their energy signatures shifted, aligning more and more with Infernal frequencies while retaining their old magick. Whether a being is an ancient Fae who had Infernal energy woven into them over time, or is born directly of Fae and Daemon, the result is the same: a Faemon.
Like Daemons of the Infernal, Faemons also answer to an Infernal Divinity. They participate in the social structure of the Infernal and serve under the Dark Lords. Once they have taken their place in the Infernal, they no longer answer to exterior forces or pantheons; their allegiance is firmly fixed in the Infernal current. Yet their Fae nature does not vanish. It remains in their aesthetics, their affinity with land, their cunning around bargains, their way with glamour and subtle enchantment. The Infernal current is not something that stripped them; it is something that crowned them. Nothing of their original magic was taken; only enhanced. They are, truly, the “best of both worlds”: Fae-born cunning and elemental sorcery woven together with Infernal power, hierarchy, and depth.
These beings are not half-measures, they are dark and divine. Faemons are regarded as equals among other Infernal entities, not curiosities. Their hybrid nature grants them an unusual advantage: their energetic alignment sits closer to our own world than many deeper Infernals. They can move into our atmosphere, attune to local land-spirits, and navigate human emotional weather with far more ease and nuance. This makes them remarkable companions for spirit workers. They can work deftly with your environment, your land, your cycles, and your psyche—bridging the space between your embodied life and the Infernal currents you’re called to.
Because of their hybrid nature, Faemons excel at weaving your earthly life with your Infernal work. Faemons vary wildly in appearance, as you would expect from beings born of both Daemon and darker Fae courts. Some may look almost elven at first glance—slender, sharp-featured, with elongated ears, unusual eyes, and a Fae appeal—until you notice the faint Infernal sigils woven into their skin or the way their shadow doesn’t quite match their body. Others lean more daemonic: horns curling from their temples, claws tipping their fingers, eyes that glow or shift color, wings of membrane or feather, tails, or markings that look like breathing ink. Many carry clear marks of nature—moss or bark-like textures on the skin, hair that resembles vines, leaves, or night sky, antlers entwined with flowers or thorns, bioluminescent markings, or eyes that reflect starlight or deep forest green. Their clothing is often grown or crafted from their realm itself: leathers, woven vines, enchanted fabrics, bone, metal, and crystal. No two Faemons look exactly alike; their forms reflect their mixed heritage, each body telling its own story of Fae wildness and Infernal power fused into one.
